About BYBA

Coach Womack

Donny Hunter

Broadway Youth Baseball Association (BYBA) is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide an opportunity for area youth who desire to play baseball. Coach Tommy Womack has long been the catalyst and leader of youth baseball in Broadway and surrounding communities.  When local community leader, Donny Hunter, approached Coach Womack offering to find a way to support his work, they immediately joined efforts to establish BYBA.  They both share a love of baseball and often give credit to the dedicated coaches who taught them the game as youngsters.  Baseball teaches so much more than the skills of the game - the experience can build confidence, good character, leadership and a spirit of teamwork.  These are skills all children can take into adulthood.

BYBA opened its first season in the summer of 2019.  We play ball in early summer and early fall on the first field at Lett Family Park in Broadway.  We lease the facilities from Lee County Parks & Rec Department.  The park belongs to the citizens of Lee County.

Our parents are invited to support our efforts by becoming one of the parent-coaches for their child's team.  We are led by a Board of Directors composed of community leaders volunteering their time and talents to support the mission of BYBA.  We have no paid employees and work closely with parents to assure their child has an opportunity to play.  BYBA solicits financial support through parent registration fees, team sponsorships and selling sponsorship advertising signs placed on field  fences. Come - join us!

We offer summer ball & fall ball for area youth ages 3 -12
